Daily Food Plan Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It explains how to cancel a paid plan and how to get a refund. Free accounts have nothing to cancel.
1. Cancel any time
- Where: in the app, open the menu, then Payments, then Plans and billing, then Manage billing. You don't need to contact us.
- What happens: your plan stays on until the end of the period you already paid for (the month or the year), then it doesn't renew and your account returns to Free.
- What stays: cancelling deletes nothing. Your board, Pantry, Cabinet and recipes are still there.
- Receipts: Stripe emails a receipt for each charge. You can also see your invoices in Manage billing.
2. Refunds within 30 days
- You can ask for a refund of any charge within 30 days of the date it was made. This applies to monthly and yearly plans and to renewals.
- A refund also ends the plan it was for. Your account returns to Free right away. We do this so a plan is never paid for and used at the same time.
- How to ask: email support@dailyfoodplan.com from the address or phone number on your account, or reply to your receipt. Tell us which charge. We don't need a reason.
- How you get it: we refund the charge to the card it was made with. Most refunds show up within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
3. After 30 days
We don't refund charges older than 30 days, and we don't refund part of a period after you cancel. Your plan simply runs to the end of the period you paid for. If something went wrong on our side (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after you cancelled), tell us and we'll put it right whatever the date.
4. Changing plans
Switching plans isn't a refund. When you switch, Stripe credits the unused time on your old plan and charges the new plan for the rest of the period. The amounts are shown before you confirm. See "Changing plans" in the Terms.
5. If a payment fails
If a renewal doesn't go through, you keep your paid plan for 7 days while the card is retried. Update your card in Manage billing to keep it. After 7 days without payment your account returns to Free. Nothing is deleted.
6. Disputes
If you think a charge is wrong, please email us first at support@dailyfoodplan.com. If you dispute the charge with your card company instead, the paid plan stops while the dispute is open.
7. Deleting your account
If you delete your account while you have a paid plan, we cancel the subscription at once so you aren't charged again. A refund of a charge still follows section 2.
8. Professional plans
Coach, Advisor and Practice plans follow the same rules. Cancelling leaves your clients with a free board that has the last plan you gave them, and a short note that it's no longer being updated.
9. Gifts and early access
A gift plan or early access isn't a paid plan, so there's nothing to refund. It ends on its end date.
10. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the law where you live, such as a right to cancel or to a refund for a defective service.
